About this Event
Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and asylum seekers.
In light of restrictions following the Covid-19 outbreak, Refugee Week 2020 will take place online, 15-21 June. We will also support in-person Refugee Week events that are postponed to a later date, whenever they happen.
At a time when the potential for fear and isolation is great, Refugee Week online will be an invitation for to connect across borders, show solidarity and, together, imagine another world.
We hope you’ll join us by taking part in the online programme, or holding an activity of your own.
If you’re interested in hearing more, do join us for this Zoom session about how you can get involved in Refugee Week 2020. Organisations, individuals, old hands and those who are new to Refugee Week – everyone is welcome.
The session follows our survey to the Refugee Week network, will be a chance to:
• Learn more about what Counterpoints Arts and producers across the country are planning for Refugee Week 2020, including Simple Acts, the Moving Worlds film programme, NaTakallam Refugee Voices sessions, performances and activities and resources for children and young people
