“We are holding a very important public meeting in which Krishnendu Mukherjee, writer, activist and advocate practising environmental and immigration law in the UK and India, and Clare Shakya, climate change research director of the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), will be discussing the scale of the climate emergency, its causes and its impact – in particular on the global South – and how to do justice to those forced to leave their homes.
It’s at 7.30pm in the Quaker Meeting House, Market Street, Charlbury. Doors open at 7 and we expect a full house.
Thank you to Charlbury Quakers for giving us the use of the Meeting House.
Admission free, donations welcome. Please come, and bring a friend. We all need to be thinking about this.”
