Harpsichord concert in aid of Charlbury Refugee Action

“Sun 17 Feb: Tea Concert: Bach, Goldberg Variations

In the Memorial Hall, Charlbury at 3pm (doors open at 2.30), followed by free tea and cake.

A tribute concert in memory of Maurice Cochrane and Roger Pensom.

PLEASE NOTE. New arrangements for seating. Doors open at 2.30 and it’s first come, first seated. Seats will be reserved for season ticket holders only.

Alastair Ross was a chorister at Christ Church, and an organ scholar at New College, Oxford, where he gained a First in Music. He has worked as a freelance harpsichordist and organist for thirty five years. He is principal keyboard player of the Academy of Ancient Music and The Sixteen, with whom he played a Handel Organ Concerto in the 2009 BBC Proms. He also plays with Canzona, with whose director, Theresa Caudle, he teaches every year on courses of baroque chamber music at Benslow and Jackdaws.
