Bharti Dhir Presents Her Book ‘Worth’
March 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
How often do we hear children of parents say that they never knew what their parents’ history was. Worth was originally written as a legacy for my daughter to get to know me and my history; but it is so much more than that.
I wanted to show her that we go through many experiences in life. Some of those will build a sense of Worth and some bring a sense of Worth down. In my life experience I struggled with rejection, racism and sexism as well as the refugee experience. I pondered about where I belonged spiritually and in identity.
Worth explores all these experiences and more. I want people of all ages to read this memoir and know that a negative sense of Worth can be overcome, and that dreams and wishes come true. Each and everyone is worthy and we just have to believe it and claim it! “
