Like you, I often take Fair Trade gifts with me -- when people see how good things taste/look, it's a great encouragement to them. My mother now also buys fairly traded Christmas presents for people. It can also help to encourage people to go to Fair Trade events to see what's on offer -- the events are fun, the goods are fine, and the message comes through from the different stalls without your having to say anything!
